This mini meditation was written along the same lines as the Breaking Through meditation. With this one though, my inspiration comes from some of the places where you get to just smash plates. I have never tried this before, but find the concept to be very interesting and could see it being therapeutic, in a weird way. The idea behind this one is that each stress or frustration represents a plate in your mind and you now how the chance to smash it.
Some imaginative elements: How big is the room you are in? What does the room look like? What do the plates look like? What do the balls look like? How do the plates break apart? I hope you enjoy this mini meditation. Please comment below what imaginative elements you added to the meditation. Also, let me know if there's anything you would like for a mini meditation. You guys are awesome!!

Hello all and here is today's featured meditation. This mini meditation was the first one I wrote. I created it one the spot for an individual I was working with. They were very upset while they were at work and I needed something that would help to calm them down as fast as possible. After seeing how helpful this was for my person, I decided to come up with some more minis.
The idea with this meditation is to imagine the intruding thoughts as dark clouds that will be melted away with positive thoughts in the form of sunshine. Some imaginative elements: Think about what the clouds look like. Are you standing or sitting? Is there a cold wind when the clouds are filling your mind? How warm does it get when the sun is fully out? What does the sunlight look like? I hope you enjoy this mini meditation. Please comment below what imaginative elements you added to the meditation. Also, let me know if there's anything you would like for a mini meditation. You guys are awesome!!
It's that day again!! Featured meditation time!! Sometimes I feel like I'm trying to work my way through a maze when I'm really stressed out. When I have these moments, I just feel like busting through the maze so I can stop feeling stressed. That's the inspiration behind this meditation.
The idea behind this meditation is to imagine your stress or frustration as walls of glass that you just bust through. If you are the type of person who feels like the way I do sometimes, then this will be a great meditation for you. Some imaginative elements: What does the glass look like? How many glass walls do you break through? Are you outside or in? What does the baseball bat look like? How heavy is the baseball bat? I hope you enjoy this mini meditation. Please comment below what imaginative elements you added to the meditation. Also, let me know if there's anything you would like for a mini meditation. You guys are awesome!!
Hello all and here is today's featured meditation. This meditation is one of the newest that I have written and have decided to release sooner. I will warn you all that this meditation is not suited for work nor is it suited for anyone who is offended easily by profanity. Sometimes we can be so overwhelmed by our thoughts and emotions that we struggle to use our coping skills. What I have found when this happens, is that I need a shock to my system that will cause me to focus on what that shock is long enough to be able to use my usual skills. This can be done in a variety of ways. I'm not a fan of sour, spicy, or bitter foods so eating one of these types of foods can be helpful. I almost can't help but focus on how the food tastes. Listening to loud music that has a strong, fast beat can be helpful. When I play it loud (of course not loud enough to disturb someone), I find that the music can make it hard to focus on the thoughts running through my head. Power walking through the park, while may look a little scary to others, has helped me out a few times as well. And lastly, I will sometimes get "mad" at myself for letting the feelings get to be too much. I'll use swear words and tell myself to just stop. It's weird to me that this works and when it does, I oddly feel better and am no longer mad at myself. This is what this meditation is about. It's to send a shock to your system to get you to focus on something else. I also wanted to write a meditation that was just way different from any other meditation that I have seen. This meditation does have profanity in it and words that I have said to myself before. Again, please do not listen to the meditation if you are offended by profanity. Otherwise, please enjoy it and try not to take it too seriously. I hope you enjoy this mini meditation. Please comment below what imaginative elements you added to the meditation. Also, let me know if there's anything you would like for a mini meditation. You guys are awesome!! |
